Nanotechnology has revolutionized prosthodontics, it has led to the development of new materials and techniques that have improved the performance and durability of dental implants, crowns and bridges. Nanotechnology has enabled the creation of nanoscale surface modifications on dental implants such as coatings of hydroxyapatite or silver nanoparticles, which enhance their biocompatibility, osseointegration and antimicrobial properties. Additionally, nanomaterials have been used to create dental composites, ceramics and metals that are stronger and more durable than conventional materials. Nanobots, tiny machines that operate at the nanoscale level, have the potential to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of dental professionals and allow for precise and targeted delivery of medication. However, the development and implementation of nanobots in prosthodontics is still in its early stages and requires further research and development.
