High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts is a school of arts based in Singapore.In the 1930s, Japanese-trained artist Mr Huang Suiheng visited Singapore. On his return to China, he approached Mr Lim Hak Tai and persuaded him to establish the first arts school in Singapore. However it was only in 1937, following the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War, that Mr Lim immigrated to Singapore. With the financial support of Mr Tan See Siang and the alumni of Jimei, he set up the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
