The National Day Parade (Abbreviation: NDP, Chinese, Malay: Perbarisan Hari Kebangsaan, Tamil) is a national ceremony in Singapore that, as its name implies, includes a parade on Singapore's national day on August 9, in commemoration of Singapore's independence that is usually held in the Singapore National Stadium or the Padang. For the first time in 2007, it was held in Marina Bay and future parades will be held there until the new sports hub is completed in around 2014, with the exception of 2010, when the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics opening will be held at Marina Bay. The parade will then be held at the Padang.
