Natural Language Grammar Induction using Genetic Algorithm

Natural Language Processing is considered to be one of the most difficult areas of study because not all has yet been uncovered about the development and logic behind it. Yet research is on to emulate human behaviour and language understanding to work with machines. Out of different approaches tried on Grammar Induction, Artificial Neural Networks seem to have come closest to success. This text presents work done in this area using the approach mentioned.

Udit Kumar Chakraborty obtained his B.Tech (CSE) Degree from the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology and M.Tech(CSE) Degree from the Sikkim Manipal University,where he is currently employed with the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. His research interests include Natural Language Processing and Soft Computing.
