The National Cheerleading Championship (NCC) is the Philippines'' first and only cheerleading competition that employs American rules and regulations. The annual event, which started in 2006, is modeled after the US competitive cheereleading competitions. It is the only Philippine cheerleading organization to date that has brought in American Judges in its competitions as well as its Camps and training sessions. The NCC''s aim is to bring together the best of the best in a National tournament. The NCC finals are based on qualifying tournaments organized by the NCC. The NCC has since ventured into regional competitions in the Philippines. In 2008, over 30 teams from North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao competed in qualifying competitions.
