Needs Programme in Nigeria

Since Nigeria attained Independence in 1960, successive administration have tinkered with one development agenda or the other with little or no results to show for the seeming amount effort. President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2004, in the course of his second term in office formulated The National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS)with a view to turning around the Nigerian economy by addressing decades of economic woes. Was this aim achieved? The answer to this question and more is contained in this book, which is a must read for policy makers generally and all who desire to have a grip of Nigeria's development history.
