Neglected tropical parasitic diseases
Details
Neglected tropical diseases cause 534,000 deaths per year. They occur in 149 countries around the world. They are favored by a low socio-economic level, notably the absence of access to drinking water, the presence of an environment conducive to vectors and poor housing conditions. In order to reduce the burden of these neglected tropical diseases, three axes must be exploited:First, popularize and implement preventive measures in countries where these diseases are endemic, Second: promote research to develop vaccines,Third: to make mass treatments available. My work aims to define what a neglected tropical disease really is by focusing on providing concise information in terms of prevention, diagnosis and treatment in a didactic way. These diseases are found in the tropics, i.e. in places with a hot and humid climate, whether they are transmitted by a bacterium or a virus or a parasite.
