Rwanda has registered tremendous achievements in the health sector and one of the examples is reduction of 46% mortality of neonates in the last decade. This study recommends to Rwanda's Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Center, and district health unit to work together to redefine maternal and child health interventions that will meet the goal of achieving 10 or fewer newborns deaths per 1000 live births and give accreditation to health posts to offer delivery services for pregnant mothers.

El Dr. Corneille NTIHABOSE es el Jefe del Departamento de Servicios Clínicos y de Salud Pública del Ministerio de Sanidad y lleva trabajando en la prestación de servicios sanitarios desde 2013. Antes de ocupar su actual puesto, el Dr. Ntihabose fue Director General del Hospital Byumba y responsable del tratamiento de la hepatitis viral en el Centro Biomédico de Ruanda.
