Neurophysiology and Mechanism of Action of Local Anesthesia
Details
The primary importance of understanding the mechanism of action of local anesthetics is to ensure the safety of the patient and to provide effective pain relief. An understanding of the various forms of local anesthetics and the proper administration of them will minimize the chances of an adverse reaction or accidental overdose. This book gives an insight about comprehensive knowledge of the pharmacokinetics which will allow clinicians to adjust the timing of the injection and dosage of local anesthetics to maximize the patient's comfort while minimizing their risk of a potentially serious side effect.
