New Beginnings never expected in South Africa
Details
In old racist South Africa a Christian teacher has new answers to old questions about God's justice and impartiality. Despite resistance from her headmaster, church, some relatives and even a special friend, she defends her unconventional ideas until they find favour in certain quarters. Quoting from the Bible, she shows old assumptions on the issues to be wrong, while the new, logical answers underline God's love for all people perfectly, and can withstand Biblical scrutiny.
Autorentext
Martha Cronje, a granny, holding an MA in Linguistics and a PhD in Education, is still studying initial reading in township schools. For years she is finding that only 20% children learn reading in Grade 1, while in the 1990's 80% learnt reading there. Yet the Department of Education refuses to give her, a UNISA student, permission for research.
