Electronics is the backbone of present day lifestyle. The advancement of electronic gadgets is based on continuous development of electronic devices and integrated circuits. The increasing demand for higher integration densities of electronic devices have led to the emergence of molecular electronics, which basically seeks to use single molecules or molecular groups to function as basic element of electronic devices. Molecular Electronics can sustain the Moore's Law that is otherwise going to end by 2020.A great material Carbon Nanotube (CNT) is being investigated as a possible component for nanoelectronic circuits. It seems to be one of the perfect candidates to take us right to the end of Moore's Law curve. So certainly carbon nanotubes has a promising future.CNT is a molecule that possesses two important properties like high electrical conductivity and high tensile strength and can be used for charge transport in molecular electronics. Many experiments and theories have been carried out in attempt to characterize the charge transfer through them. From the literature it was observed that CNTs have extraordinary electrical conductivity, heat conductivity and mechanical properties.

Ruhee, M.Tech in the field of Electronics and Communication. Her thesis is the study of the variation in the electrical conductivity of carbon nano tubes. Her publications include review papers on CNT published in a National Conference, review on Fullerenes, Nanoelectronics published in an International Conference.
