Women have attained a great deal in the past few years but there are still areas of discrimination which exists in Bangladesh. NGOs are playing a significant role in the development of disadvantages women, helping them stand on their own through their support services. But, in recent times, NGOs in Bangladesh have increasingly become subject to questions and criticisms that the programs, NGOs are taking to the specific target group, are they getting out of their vulnerable situation? In such a background this book is intended to examine the effectiveness of NGO support services. To what extent and in what ways are the support services of NGOs affecting the women? And, what is the level and types of involvement of the women in the support services? And, how the NGOs support services programs developed the women in Bangladesh? Addressing this question, this book originality comes from the wide-range research studies done by different development organizations and data collected from the secondary sources. It provides a comprehensive picture of women development and set of recommendations on how to promote and strengthen the participation of women in NGOs programs in Bangladesh.

Autorentext

Mr.Khan a development activist has done two Post Graduation consecutively in Social Work from University of Dhaka and in Development Studies from London South Bank University,England. He lives in USA, where he works with New York City Department of Education. His current interests women development and environment as these relate to changing minds.
