Details

This book is about Nigeria - China Economic and Development Relations, most especially the strategies adopted by the two countries. It has highlighted the effects of globalization on the two state relations. The submission is that Nigeria needs China to overcome her backwardness especially in science and technology. The Nigerian state need to curb corruption and encourage good governance in all ramifications. Without good leadership and followership the latent energy in the Nigerian national population will remain dormant. Nigerian leaders need to follow the example of China in the area of transformation of local technology and raw materials into an enviable product. Without these, Nigeria as a state within the international system may not be able to capture the attention of global trade. Unlike China who has remerged as a global leading economy, Nigeria is still beset with internal crises, therefore government need to put her domestic crises in order for economic development to appreciate.
