The Book "Nigeria-Mali : Relations and the Quest for Regional Stability" is a timely masterpiece that explains the cordial relations that exist between Nigeria and Mali; and the quest to ensuring peace, development, and stability within the West pre-region. Nigeria - Mali have has had a long-time relationship traceable to the socio-colonial era when the entities within the two states had political, economic, and socio-cultural ties. The relationship between the two countries has improved in recent times in the quest of ensuring peace and stability particularly within the West African Sub-region and Africa in general. The conflict in Mali and the fear that Mali could serve as a training ground for the Boko Haram in Nigeria, no doubt has posed a serious threat to the region and if not well managed, could cause a spillover effect; hence the need for Nigeria, other concerned states and international organizations to intervene. This is because the terrorist activities experienced in both countries could hamper the development and stability of not just the two countries, but directly or indirectly affect other countries of the African region.
