Nitric Oxide and Central Nervous System

In order to give a more complete picture of NO as remarkable messenger molecule, the biosynthesis, mechanism of action of NO, distribution of NOS as well as involvement of NO in major physiological and pathophysiological processes especially in the central nervous system and importance of NO in clinical medicine are described.
