Nmuo - Spirits

The book aim to explore the psychological and philosophical cultural views of African art as a phenomenon that communicate ideas based on the convictions of the society that created them, as well as reflects the construction of social hierarchies.The word NMUO means spirit in the language of the Igbos of Nigeria; and it is believed that certain sacred objects embodies energy effective in rituals which can be positive or negative, however, the power of these rituals is reflected in the beauty.
