This book was written out of a growing concern observed not only in academic literature but also in clinical practice, young people, many of whom appear outwardly healthy, are increasingly presenting with symptoms of hearing difficulties and persistent tinnitus. It explores the evolving crisis from a multidisciplinary lens, combining clinical anatomy, auditory neuroscience, epidemiology, public health, and socio-cultural trends. It is a synthesis of current scientific understanding and practical insight, aimed not only at clinicians and students but also at educators, parents, policymakers, and digitally immersed individuals. While the digital revolution has granted unprecedented access to entertainment and communication, it has also ushered in an insidious public health concern, noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and tinnitus, especially among the younger generation.

Prof. Dr. Iqbal Hussain Udaipurwala is a leading ENT and Head & Neck surgeon and an excellent teacher. He did his fellowship in 1993 and is associated with medical education for more than three decades. At present he is working at Bahria University as Senior Professor and head of ENT department. He is the author of 10 books.
