Non Ionizing Radiation From Telecommunication Base Station Antennas
Details
In recent years, public perception about the harmful effects of radiation from telecommunication base station antennas has increased. This is due partly to the rapid increase in the transmitting antennas as a result of the increase in telecommunication operators in a relatively small country like Ghana. People are resisting the erection of these antennas in and around their communities. This book therefore provides information to the public on the levels of radiation that we are exposed to. We are also educated on whether or not the levels exceed standard limits set by the International Commission on Non Ionizing-Radiation Protection. It will also be useful to stakeholders such as the telecommunication operators and the regulators of the industry in order to educate the public on the perceived risks.
