Taken together and in various ways, the studies in this book all affirm the position that the prevailing structure of international political economy needs to be re-appraised and adjusted with a view to stimulating development in peripheral capitalist socio-formations. Fundamentally, these studies demonstrate that contemporary globalization and associated checklists has marginalized developing economies, instigated conflicts, provided conditions for highly elastic income inequalities, proliferated poverty and undermined the process of stimulating autochthonous development conditions.
