Notes for a perspective on beauty and art

This book deals with subjects of a philosophical and theological nature, particularly seen from an ontological and anthropological-pedagogical perspective, with respect to the concept of artistic and cultural , thus giving rise to reflections on the themes of "Beauty" and "Art". The volume offers also some notes and reflections on the relationship between Catholic Church and Art from the Second Vatican Council to today, useful not only for experts in these fields, but also for all those wish to work in planning and promoting artistic and cultural events, especially concerning Christianity, or are engaged in related training and educational activities.

Mauro MANTOVANI, SDB, is actually (2015) Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Social Communication at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS), Rome, where He is Professor in Theoretical Philosophy.PhD at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2006, and in 2010 Doctor in Thomistic Theology at the "Angelicum", Rome.
