Noun Compounds in English Legal Terminology

This book is the product of the author`s work towards her MPhil degree in English Legal terminology at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She was teaching legal English at the Faculty of Law in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia for several years and got interested in English legal terminology. The book contains research on English noun compounds, English legal register, English for specific purposes, definitions and criteria for distinguishing English compounds and morphological, syntactic and semantic analysis of compounds in English legal language. Noun compounds are an interesting class of words and they are very frequent in English language and in English legal terminology. The book would appeal to students and teachers of English language, experts in English for specific purposes and anyone with an interest in English and English legal terminology.

Sanja Gavrilovska is a lecturer and translator. She holds a MPhil degree in English language from UKIM, Skopje. Her research interests include English grammar, English legal language and English political terminology. She is the author of a number of academic papers.
