Novel Synthesis of Oxygen Heterocycles and Organophosphorus Compounds

A unique position is occupied by the Heterocyclic chemistry of compounds containing nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur and phosphorus. Compounds with heterocyclic structural unit are associated with a variety of drugs, vitamins, agrochemicals, natural products and biomolecules. Due to the enormous applications of heterocyclic compounds, their number has been increasing rapidly. Efforts to develop simple and efficient synthetic strategies for them are on the ever increasing trend but yet found to be deficit. It becomes obvious now, how important the heterocyclic chemistry and oxygen heterocycles have become in serving the needs of chemical industry and humanity. This back ground of heterocyclic chemistry prompted us to take up a detailed and systematic study on the synthesis of some bioactive oxygen containing heterocyclic compounds. This book fulfills the above needs in the field of heterocyclic and organophosphorus chemistry.
