Number Systems This introductory text is primarily designed for the average class of students who are interested to know about the basics of digital computers. The widely varying group of anticipated readers has been kept in mind while designing the organization and presentation of the subject-matter. No prior knowledge of this subject has been assumed on the part of the students and almost each topic is started from zero level. The subject-matter has been developed logically and systematically. A large number of examples have been solved to drive a point home. The emphasis has been on giving a clear and unambiguous account of the subject. Particular care has been taken to make the treatment detailed, yet simple, with each step fully explained.
