Numerical control

This book deals with digital control, a fundamental element of industrial automation. It explores the theoretical foundations and practical applications of this technology, describing the structure of digital control systems, their essential components, and the analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion processes. Signal sampling, digitization, reconstruction and converter modeling are also covered. The book then develops representations of sampled systems through tools such as the z-transform, and deals with stability, causality and system synthesis, presenting techniques such as PID control and the RST controller. This book thus provides a comprehensive, rigorous and progressive view of the implementation of numerical control systems in the industrial context.

Abdelghani Djeddi è docente e ricercatore di ingegneria elettrica presso l'Università di Tébessa, Algeria. Ha ottenuto l'abilitazione a dirigere la ricerca (HDR) presso l'Università di Tébessa. Le sue aree di ricerca comprendono il calcolo frazionario, la modellazione e il controllo di sistemi non lineari e il monitoraggio dei sistemi.
