Numerical Simulation of Earthquake Induced Ground Motion in Sri Lanka
Details
The intention of this book is to give insights on simulating a finite difference numerical model for a region situated well away from plate boundaries, and to develop the Response Spectra and Peak Ground Acceleration values for certain cities. The methods used in developing a numerical model to investigate the effect of variation of the bedrock profile on the seismic wave propagation through Sri Lanka are briefly explained. This book will be useful for the researchers whom are interested on analyzing and designing engineered structures related to intraplate events and development of intermediate scale finite difference models.
