Numerical simulations of Flow induced vibrations in circular cylinders

Numerical simulations of flow induced vibration has gained a great of attention over the past decade. With the advancement in the field of aero-elasticity it is now possible to obtain computational prediction of vibrations due to the flow conditions. However challenges are due to complexities in the description of flow physics and non-linearity.

Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh has been involved in a number of research projects related to industrial flow and aerodynamics. Major projects are from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries involving non-newtonian fluids. He has also been the part of funded projects in Europe. Dr. Nadeem completed his PhD from Loughborough University UK, funded by the Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
