The present study used a triplex table for the subdivisions of the ponds, each one with four experimental units, giving a total of 16 animals per pond, the distribution of the treatments was randomized within the ponds with their subdivisions and they were labeled. The selection of the improved Peruvian breed male guinea pigs for the research was done by weighing all the guinea pigs in the house to obtain an average weight; 15-day-old guinea pigs with an average weight of 342.5 grams were selected. They were placed within the subdivisions of each selected pen. The adaptation period was 7 days, during which time they were fed with forage mix and flaxseed ad libitum (they were given 100 grams of flaxseed, which was not accepted during the first 2 days).
