Occlusion in Prosthodontics

This book is about occlusion which is an important subject to discuss in dental practice. Occlusion refers to the act of closure or being closed. In dentistry the word "OCCLUSION" includes closure of dental arches to bring the maxillary and mandibular teeth in contact during various functional and parafunctional movements. It is the meeting ground of all phases and specialities of dentistry. It is an anatomic and physiologic complex present when the opposing teeth are in contact.
