Occurrence of fungi on masonry walls in the hospital environment

This work aims to discuss the importance of the role of engineers and architects in hospital refurbishments. After years of working in a large hospital, I was faced with a major challenge: that of carrying out interventions without causing harm to patients. Over time, I realised that the care taken with the dissemination of dust and debris within the hospital environment was quite strict, and I asked myself a question: is all this care really necessary? can pathogenic fungi be present within the cladding masonry? I hope that you, dear reader, will be able to draw your own conclusions from this book and realise how important the role of the engineering and architecture professional is in the hospital environment.
