Odelmys Palma López (born 18 December 1971 in Havana, Ciudad de la Habana) is a retired female javelin thrower from Cuba. She finished eleventh at the 1996 Summer Olympics. She threw 65.80 metres with the old javelin model in June 1997 in Havana. The javelin throw is a track and field athletics throwing event where the object to be thrown is the javelin, a spear approximately 2.5 metres in length. Javelin is an event of both the men''s decathlon and the women''s heptathlon.The javelin thrower gains momentum by running up to a predetermined area.
