The phenomena of global ageing and intensive population movements overlap. Both migrants and older people are heterogeneous groups and this multiplied heterogeneity of older migrants causes them to be invisible when gathering various data types.

Barbara Miköajczyk is a full professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia. She specialises in international public law and human rights, mainly the rights of vulnerable people. She is a member of the Odysseus Academic Network for Studies on Immigration and Asylum in Europe and the European Network on Law and Ageing Group.
