On Youth Drug Abuse and the Ghetto

The book explores the dark world of drug abuse in lower-class neighbourhoods in the capital city of Zimbabwe, Harare. The book details the author's venture into the drug world, guided by his key informant, and highlights how the problem of youth drug abuse has been exacerbated by the continued economic quagmire that the nation of Zimbabwe has been grappling with for decades. The book also brings to light several issues regarding corruption and why the illicit drug houses within these lower class neighbourhoods continue to thrive, and "hide in plain sight". The book will be particularly useful for undergraduate researchers seeking to learn more about the art of snowball sampling and how it can be actioned in research focusing on social groups that are often times difficult to access.
