Onion Seed Production in Nepal

The vegetative parameters (plant height, number of tillers and number of leaves), reproductive parameters (number of scape and number of umbel) yield and quality parameters (seed yield per hectare, 1000 seed weight, viability of onion seed, seedling length, germination, viability and vigor of onion seed) at 160 kg N/ha and bulb size of 3 cm bulb size found to be greater than other nitrogen and bulb size treatments. But, B/C ratio recorded highest in 160 kg N/ha and medium bulb size which indicates the economical than other combined treatments of nitrogen and bulb size.
