Open visiting hours: a blessing or a curse?

This paper deals with the problem that there are different ideas about visiting hours. It shows that there are already different visiting hour models within a hospital, so it is not possible to create a uniform regulation. During the literature review, it was found that although visiting hours are required by law, there are no guidelines for the visiting hour model. The basic aim was to present the pros and cons of an open visiting hours model with the help of a questionnaire. A questionnaire was created for both employees and relatives to assess the current situation and satisfaction levels. In order to highlight the importance of visits and relatives, the individual components are examined in more detail and critically questioned.
