Operational Development of Small Tea Growers in Nilgiris District

The present book has been awarded for the degree of Philosophy of Doctorate to Dr.Naushad J.A. under the supervision of Dr.Well Haorei by the Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu, India on 6th of November 2020 with highly commended by the examiners. The main focus of this book is to explore empirically the operational development of small tea growers in terms of the operational development elements of tea production among the small growers in the study area, the improvements in processes and procedures of tea production by the small tea growers, the product and market development practices adopted by small tea growers, and the perspectives of small tea growers towards improvements in methods and specifications in the tea industry.

Dr Naushad JA has been working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management Studies at Farook College, Kozhkode, for the past 17 years. He secured MBA and MPhil from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and PhD from Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), Dindigul. He specialises in Operations Management.
