Optical Phase Locked Loop for Remote Carrier Signal Generation
Details
Radio-Over-Fiber is an attractive technology for millimeter-wave (mm-wave) wireless applications, because it reduces the complexity of the necessary numerous base stations. Several methods exist to generate mm-wave modulated optical signals for such a system. The optical phase- locking technique may be applied successfully in generating mm-wave signal in the optical domain. Therefore, in this book the efforts have been concentrated to find a novel technique in generating mm-wave signal using wide line-width lasers. The analysis should help shed some light on this new and exciting modern communication environment, and should be especially useful to professionals in Modern Communication and research field.
