This book focuses on the use of optical spectroscopy in the pharmaceutical analysis with emphasis on the theory and practical application of the simultaneous measurements of absorption, turbidity and Circular Dichroism in the area of drug binding to cyclodextrin and the study of the integrity of therapeutic IgG in solution. This book consists of 6 chapters plus appendices, the first two chapters are focussed on general introduction to the subjects and the instrumental aspects of the techniques which makes it useful to both undergraduate and post graduate students whose main interest is optical spectroscopy, particularly UV/Vis and Circular Dichroism. The book has great deal of information and numerous UV and CD spectra on drug binding to cyclodextrin and various spectra on IgGs which on the whole is useful to researchers and specialists

Dr Ali Aboel Dahab is a researcher and a lecturer at the pharmaceutical research division, King's College London. He has a special interest in optical spectroscopy, pharmacology, toxicological and chiral analysis, biopharmaceutical and biological spectroscopy and the development of analytical techniques.
