This work is a summary of 5 years of patience and efforts of collecting information and data for types of FACTS and types of optimization methods for increasing system stability and reducing system overloading and losses. all algorithms, system data and program files are presented in this work. Moreover, some proposed modification is developed in UPFC for reducing the voltage overshoot of the device insertion.

Received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the faculty of engineering, Zagazig university, Egypt in 2009 and 2013, respectively. He working towards the Ph.D. degree at Electrical Engineering Dept., Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Russia. His main research areas are in Power electronics, inverters, FACTS and their control.
