Optimization and Kinetics of Bio-Diesel Production

This book covered the general information comprises of work-done in castor oil extraction using soxhlet extraction method, refining of the oil (degumming and neutralization), biodiesel production using transesterification method, optimization of the production process using Taguchi orthogonal array design, kinetics of the production process, biodiesel blend with conventional diesel and physicochemical properties of the oils (raw castor oil, refined castor oil, biodiesel produced and diesel blends).

I was born in Kano state, Nigeria. I'm first class graduate in BSc (Hons) Industrial chemistry from Bayero University, Kano. Also, graduated with distinction in my MSc from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. I'm currently a lecturer in Bayero University and pursuing my PhD in petroleum engineering in Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
