Optimization Techniques: Application to Multi-focus Image Fusion

Multi-focus image is resulted due to limitation of convex lens of a camera. Sharp image can be obtained by merging or fusing two multi-focus images using various techniques presented in this book. These fusion techniques are optimized in order to reduce computational complexity of and time consumed in fusion process. At the same time, steps are taken to maintain or improve the quality of the fused image.

Dr. Arti Khaparde, professor at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India, has research interest in noise removal techniques of digital signal processing, pattern recognition, machine learning. She has 42 publications and two patents. Co-author and research scholar Vaidehi Deshmukh, has also published ten research papers in various journals.
