Oral Health Education: A Primary Mode of Intervention

Any set of learning opportunities intended to encourage voluntarilytaking good care of oneself is referred to as health education. Individuals,families, institutions, or communities may engage in these behaviors oracts. Thus, health education activities for parents, policymakers, healthcareprofessionals, or even children may fall under its purview. Correct healthinformation or knowledge alone does not always result in good healthbehaviors, as has been well-documented in dentistry and other health relatedfields. However, acquired knowledge might be used as a tool to armspecific population groups with accurate information about health andmedical technology, empowering them to take action to safeguard theirhealth.
