Oral Manifestation of HIV Diseases

The impact of HIV/AIDS has permeated the social, cultural and economic fabric of many a nations. With no known cure, the disease has acquired pandemic proportions and countries are least equipped to cope in the absence of a definitive strategy and treatment regime.The responsibility lies with the oral health care providers to ensure that the myths and misconceptions in the mind of people should be clarified so that this deadly disease can be tackled at grass root levels effectively and the stigma attached to this can be removed. This will ensure the afflicted people coming forward for voluntary testing and lead a normal life.
