Organic Acidifiers in Broiler Diets

Antibiotics though been successful in broilers as additives are now under much stringent rules due their residual effect which are considered as threat to the consumers worldwide. This publication on organic acids as feed additives opens a new vista for the poultry industry in producing residual free meat. The book will be a guideline to researchers in animal nutrition and for those who aim at studies to produce safe meat and meat products for the human consumption.

Uma Maheswari D.,M.V.Sc.,Ph.D., is a major in Animal Nutrition. She graduated from MVC, TANUVAS. Pursued her masters in the same college with ICAR fellowship(1992-94). She completed her Ph.D from the same college and University (2009-2012). She is at present working as Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Nutrition, RIVER, Puducherry.
