The aim of this practical book is to introduce the student to practical organic chemistry. This book consists of two parts: The first part contains the experimental purification and separation of medicinal compounds.The second part contains chemical identification tests of different families of organic compounds, based on their functional groups. (Hydrocarbons, Ketones, aldehyde, alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids and salts, amines, amides, imides, urea, anilides amino acids, carbohydrates), followed by the an application to identification of unknown organic compounds.
