Organic Geochemistry Applications in Petroleum Exploration

Organic geochemistry has come a long way in the significant advances have developed in-between exploration geologists and petroleum geochemists. Organic geochemistry is now a routine part of all exploration efforts by major and smaller companies, although it is disappointing that there is not more emphasis on Organic geochemistry in the academic curriculum of earth sciences.
