The study of organisational change has evolved over the last number of years and is still an evolving dynamic. Change can occur for many reasons, but primarily in this century the drivers for change have been the pace of modern technology, customer service and communications. How business adapts to these drivers will to a large extent determine the success of change. It is not only in private business that organisational structures and culture affect the rate of change, it is also a dynamic that public service organisations have to be aware of and manage. This study takes one public service in Ireland to demonstrate the interrelationships between culture and structure and how it impacts change.

Autorentext

Brian O'Kearney-White was born in Dublin, Ireland and has worked in the Public Service his entire life. He has worked in various different Departments in Dublin City Council and has been involved in rapid change and improvement in the delivery of services to the public.
