Organization of the future and SMEs in Austria

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises undoubtedly form the basis of the Austrian economy. Due to demographic, economic, technological and social change, companies are constantly confronted with structural and personnel challenges in terms of their organisational development and design. In the area of human resources in particular, it is becoming increasingly difficult for SMEs to keep up with the attractive working conditions offered by modern companies and to find qualified personnel. In which areas can SMEs in Austria take the first steps towards organisational and human resources development in order to develop as dynamic organisations and thus be able to react more flexibly to current and future influences in the business environment?

Sabine Haberl began her career in the luxury hotel industry. Since completing her bachelor's degree, she has been working in the tourism-related event industry. The personnel challenges facing Austrian SMEs in the service industry were decisive factors in her decision to pursue a master's degree and, consequently, to write this book in the field of organisational behaviour.
