Researchers have found organizational culture, organizational structure and technology as major factors involved in the adoption and utilization of KM. Organizational culture is the main factor in knowledge sharing. This study is based on the idea that apart from these factors, leadership could also play a significant role in not just the adoption but also utilization of KM. It is therefore proposed that leadership is another factor influencing the utilization of KM. leaders might stimulate employees by applying a reward system and encouraging them to share their knowledge thereby maximizing KM utilization.

Nariman Javan is a graduate of Multimedia University in Master of Knowledge Management. Naser Valaei is a PhD candidate from International Business School (IBS) of University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He has published several articles in journals and conferences.
