The management of people at work is an essential part of the management process. In order to understand the vital importance of people in the organization, the human element and organization may be considered as synonymous. Organizational commitment is one of the most popular subjects of management, organizational behavior and organizational psychology disciplines, as organizations need committed workers to compete in the global economy. This book is divided into two main parts. First part examines the theoretical background of organizational commitment and the second part includes a field study, investigating the relationship between the employees education level and their organizational commitment.

Ismail BAKAN, is a professor of Management and Organization in the Department of Business Administration, at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University and also the Dean of the Faculty. He received his MBA and PhD degree in the Business School at Coventry University (UK).
