Organizational Culture and Organizational Learning studies are gaining importance in order to understand and initiate changes in organizational and individual performance. Several researchers are contributing texts along these lines to share sets of tools, procedures and experiences in assisting and managing with cultural and personal change in organizations. Management of cultural change is being given a high priority and the findings are serving as major sources of information to the change process. Understanding Organizational Culture and Organizational Learning is crucial to such changes. Keeping up with the advancements after liberalization, privatization and globalization, it has become increasingly important to understand how cultural change could foster dramatic improvements in organizational effectiveness, or else how it could turn into obstacles that prevent organizations from fulfilling their objectives.

Dr. Shweta is an Assistant Professor in Faculty of Business at Sohar University, Oman. In her earlier assignments outside Oman, she has worked in Addis Ababa and Mekelle universities of Ethiopia. She has also taught in different university institutions in India.
